Biedronka is the most popular and the largest network of retail stores in Poland, which is regularly visited by 55% Poles. Currently, it has 1800 stores located both in large cities and small towns around Poland, offering high quality food products and household chemistry products at low prices every day.
The Biedronka brand is one of the most popular and most valuable Polish brands. It was honoured twice with the prestigious distinction of Superbrands as the only one among retail store networks in Poland. Biedronka was among brands which were selected out of 1200 consumer brands present at the Polish market. It also won the “Priorytet w świadomości” ranking published by the Rzeczpospolita daily. In 2008, in the Siły Marki ranking of the Rzeczpospolita daily, Biedronka was first among all examined brands in its industry with respect to market shares. On the other hand, in the ranking of largest enterprises in 2010, Biedronka was on the 4th position thanks to its turnover exceeding PLN 19 billion.
Biedronka stores are visited daily by almost 3 million customers. We do our best to deserve the trust which was shown to us by maintaining a consistent policy of low prices every day and high quality.
Biedronka has its own distribution system. Stores are supplied by nine modern Distribution Centres.
- Over 900 products are available in stores, out of which almost 95% derive from Polish production.
- Products available in the Biedronka network stores are supplied by over 500 trade partners, mainly Polish producers and distributors.

Low prices every day
We offer food products at low prices every day to our customers. We are able to ensure low prices primarily thanks to:
- low purchase prices which we obtain on account of ordering very large quantities of goods for our entire network of 1700 stores;
- application of a low margin by our own unique business model ensuring low level of costs, thanks to optimisation of all processes in our company.
High Quality
Apart from taking care of prices of offered products, we pay special attention to ensuring high quality which is guaranteed to our customers by means of:
- cooperation with only trusted producers and suppliers;
- constant control of our products conducted by specialist laboratories;
- own distribution system guaranteeing quick provision of goods to stores which, in turn, ensures their freshness.
In February 2010, GfK Polonia published a public opinion poll regarding knowledge of and customer preferences with respect to commercial networks, according to which Biedronka is visited by 80% of Polish customers and it is also a leader in many other categories. The Biedronka network, according to the poll, is the commercial network that is rooted most strongly in the customers’ awareness. It is also an unquestionable leader with respect to brand familiarity. On the other hand, according to almost 60% of persons polled in May 2010 by the PBS DGA research institute, Biedronka is the best commercial network in Poland and most worthy recommending. Biedronka customers can always be certain that they buy food products of high quality at lowest prices.
